Owners of Aston Villa are in talks to rename it as Villa Park in 2019. The commercial aspect of opportunities is in “constant negotiation” as said by a source. This and sale of naming rights of the historical ground has been debatable amongst the members of AVFC. It is being argued that this is wrong as per the FFP regulations.
It is certain that if the renaming happens, the current name would be included as the title. The final decision would be based on the outcome of the meeting of the Financial Fair Play Regulations although it is being said that the waters are cool.
